Are you ready to care?

We have some exciting opportunities available across the summer holidays within our social care teams.

The temporary roles will interest people who have some spare time to offer and would like to make a difference to the everyday lives of our residents with care and support needs.

The role typically involves visiting people in their own homes and providing a range of support tasks, including helping with personal care and meal preparation.

Full training will be provided by the Social Care Academy, which specialises in providing high-quality care and support training. You will also receive support by working alongside an experienced care worker.

The roles will be based within the Council team or potentially with one of our commissioned providers.

The salary is £10.03 per hour and you will receive paid travel time and a mileage allowance. Full PPE will be provided. We can consider full-time and part-time flexible roles as work is available across days and evenings and weekends.

A full job description and person specification is attached. To apply please complete the attached application form and return to katherine.simpson@northtyneside.gov.uk.

It would be helpful when you submit your application form you indicated whether you have a current DBS and what availability you have for work.
