Overview
Phase two of the project will see the continuation of the route from the Beach Road roundabout to St Mary’s Island access road. Plans for this second phase can be found here. Phase two construction will commence from Monday, October 14 until Summer 2025
What improvements are being carried out?
The construction team will;
- constructed a permanent safe two-way unbroken sustainable route for pedestrians and cyclists;
- upgraded crossing points to improve pedestrian safety and access to the seafront;
How and when are the works taking place?
The work is being carried out by the council’s strategic partner Capita.
Please pay attention to the advance warning signs in the area for the latest diversion routes, they will be clearly signposted.
