Changes to your benefits
If you get Pension Credit, Income Support, income-based Jobseekers Allowance or income related Employment and Support Allowance let us know when:
- your circumstances change and you stop receiving one of these benefits
- you change your address
- anyone moves in or out of your property
- your non-dependant has a change in circumstances
- you stop receiving Child Benefit for any of your children
- your rent changes, unless you live in a council property
- your capital exceeds £16000 unless you receive Guarantee Credit
If you get Pension Credit tell the Pension Service about any change in income or capital for you or your partner. They will then notify us if the change affects your entitlement to Pension Credit.
If you get Income Support, income-based Jobseekers Allowance or income related Employments and Support Allowance tell the Department for Work and Pensions about any changes in income and capital for you or your partner. They will assess your entitlement to Income Support or income-based Jobseekers Allowance based on the new information you supply.
Other changes

- your non-dependant has a change in circumstances
- you stop receiving Child Benefit for any of your children
- your rent changes — unless you live in a council property
If you are unsure whether we need to know about a change in circumstances please ask for advice at one of our Customer Service Centres or telephone 0345 2000 101.
