Help with fees and costs

You may be eligible for help with your course fees or even eligible to learn for free.  Talk to an advisor on (0191) 643 2288 and they will guide you through the criteria and assess your eligibility to study for free or at a discounted rate.

A quick guide to our eligibility for free concession or discounted fees is available below. Remember this is not a full guide to your eligibility for free concession and it is best to check with an advisor first and confirm your eligibility.

Ways to pay

You can pay course fees over the telephone or in person by credit card or debit card.

For a course costing over £100, you can also pay half on enrolment and the other half two weeks before the course starts. Ask at an enrolment event or telephone (0191) 643 2288 for details.

Help with Childcare

You may be entitled to support with childcare costs. If you need support with childcare costs, please let us know when you enrol.

Refunds

Refunds are available in the following circumstances:

  • If a course is cancelled by the Adult Learning Service and a suitable alternative is not available, a full refund of fees will be made. 
  • If a session is cancelled an alternative session will be arranged where possible. 
  • If you are unable to attend your course a refund is only available until one week before the course starts. You must contact the Adult Learning Service, at the latest, one week before the course starts and a refund will be processed minus a £15 administration charge. 

If you inform us within one week, or on the day the course starts or later, no refund is available.

Supply chain fees
