High Point Hotel
The High Point View scheme is a development of townhouses on the site of the former High Point Hotel on the Promenade in Whitley Bay.
The properties are a mix of three, four and five bedrooms and all offer uninterrupted sea views with floor-to-ceiling balconies overlooking the Promenade. Each property will also be eco-friendly and include the latest automated technology to control heating and appliances.
Work began in December 2016 and is due for completion in 2018. It is a joint venture between developers High Point View Ltd and us.
The scheme increases the local provision for family housing while the development also includes private gardens and car parking for each household.

The former Avenue and Whiskey Bends pub sites
We are moving ahead with plans to develop high-quality family homes at the former Avenue and Whiskey Bends pub sites on the coast at Whitley Bay.
The two schemes are part of four potential developments aimed at helping to enhance North Tyneside’s reputation as an attractive place to live, work and visit.
Other proposals include a mix of high-quality modern townhouses and apartments in Northumberland Square, North Shields.
A fourth development at Wallington Court, Cullercoats, will also be explored to assess the potential of the site for new bungalows both for sale and for affordable rent.
The four developments could see as many as 60 new homes being built in total, supporting our regeneration ambitions at the coast and in North Shields town centre, as well as contributing significant economic benefits to each area and providing a boost to local businesses.
