Andrew Cushin is the third headline artist announced for this year’s Mouth of the Tyne Festival, organised by North Tyneside Council.
The Newcastle singer-songwriter will perform a huge outdoor show at the spectacular Tynemouth Priory and Castle on Saturday 13 July 2024.
Following two sell-out nights at the City Hall before Christmas and an extensive US and European tour with former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, Andrew will bring his show to the festival for the first time.
Signed to Pete Doherty’s record label, his first album ‘Waiting for the Rain’ went straight into the Official UK Top 20 on its release in October. It spent three weeks at the top of the Official Indie Chart with the single ‘You Don’t Belong’ also a top seller.
His musical connections include Noel Gallagher who produced and performed on the single ‘Where’s My Family Gone’. He returns Stateside later in the year for an 18-date US tour performing in venues from Nashville to LA.
Tickets go on sale at 9am this Friday at See Tickets and Ticketmaster.
Special guests will be announced soon.
Andrew Cushin said: “I’m really looking forward to performing at such an incredible venue this summer and, coming off the back of an extensive US tour, I really can’t wait to be back in town for this one.”
The annual Mouth of the Tyne Festival is organised by North Tyneside Council and supported by Port of Tyne and Shop NT.
Turning 18 next year, the event will return to Tynemouth village with its usual mix of music, street entertainment and special one-off performances.
Andrew Cushin joins the previously announced Ocean Colour Scene who perform on Thursday 11 July and pop legend Rick Astley whose show on Friday 12 July sold out in just a few days.
Tickets for Andrew Cushin at Tynemouth Priory and Castle on Saturday 13 July 2024 go on sale at 9am this Friday from See Tickets and Ticketmaster.
