North Tyneside’s Customer First Centres have been given a new identity to better reflect the range of services on offer.
All six locations have been rebranded as Community Hubs and Libraries and new signage is being installed at each one.
The change is part of a larger plan to make these venues the heart of our communities, offering everything from digital support to health advice and skills training, all in one place.
With a flexible, collaborative design, the spaces will evolve with the community’s needs and provide a safe, welcoming environment.
Councillor Hannah Johnson, Cabinet Member for Libraries, said: “We are excited to announce a new chapter for our rebranded Community Hubs and Libraries.
“This is much more than just a name change; the new signage is part of a project to reshape the way we provide services under the Connecting Communities strategy.
“This will make it easier for residents to understand what’s on offer and access those services, and it reflects the expanded role of these locations as dynamic, multi-purpose spaces that adapt to meet the changing needs of local communities.
“We’re confident this will increase the visibility of these venues, and we look forward to welcoming people to our newly branded hubs. There’s more going on inside than people might realise."
