TEMPORARY RESTRICTION ORDER 2024

THE MOUTH OF THE TYNE FESTIVAL, TYNEMOUTH

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends to make an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles with the exception of emergency vehicles using:

The full length of Tynemouth Front Street from its junction with Percy Park Road / Allendale Place to its junction Pier Road and Hotspur Street with its junction with Stephenson Street and Middle Street commencing on Friday 12 July 2024 from 06:00 until Monday 15 July 2024 at 17:00.

The alternative route will be East Street, Sea Banks, Percy Gardens, Grand Parade, Percy Park Road and vice versa.

A rolling road closure along Percy Park Road, Tynemouth Road and the full length of Front Street on Saturday 13 July 2024 from 11:00 until 13:00 for a Children’s Pageant, with no alternative route.

The Order is necessary to facilitate and reduce disruption likely to be caused by the Mouth of the Tyne Festival.
