TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it has made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order prohibits all through traffic on various roads adjacent and adjoining to Tynemouth Road, these include:

Albion Road from the junction with Preston Road to Tynemouth Road. 
20m (approx) south onto Upper Norfolk Street from the junction with Albion Road. 
105m (approx) south onto the Stephenson Street from the junction with Tynemouth Road. 
45m (approx) north onto Linskill Terrace from the junction with Tynemouth Road. 

An alternate route is available via Preston Road, Trevor Terrace, Linskill Terrace, King Edward Road, Manor Road, Allendale Place, Tynemouth Road and in reverse order.

The Order will come into force on 28 June 2024 lasting until 9 August 2024. Working hours will from 20:00 - 06:00, weekdays only.
