Experimental Traffic Regulation Order 2024

 

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it has made an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (Tanners Bank, North Shields) 2024 under Sections 1, 2, 9 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.  The effect of the Order will be to introduce:

 

No Waiting Restrictions – At Any Time on

 

Tanners Bank on its

Western side, taken from its junction with Tanners Bank (industrial access road) for a distance of 6m in a northern direction.
Western side, taken from its junction with Tanners Bank (industrial access road) for a distance of 6m in a southern direction.

 

Tanners Bank (Industrial access road) on its

Northern side, taken from its junction with Tanners Bank for a distance of 3m in a westerly direction.
Southern side, taken from its junction with Tanners Bank for a distance of 3m in a westerly direction.

 

No Waiting and Loading Restrictions on Monday to Friday between 7am – 4pm on Tanners Bank on its Eastern side, taken from a point 12m north of its junction with Tanners Bank (industrial access road) for a distance of 28m in a southerly direction.

 

The Order will come into force on 3 October 2024 for a period not exceeding 12 months when the Council will decide whether to continue with the restrictions indefinitely.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any of the provisions contained within it, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred on the Council by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, you may within six weeks from 3 October 2024 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
