TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024
North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic:
Benton
on Whitfield Drive from outside numbers 1-7.
An alternate route is available via Whitfield Drive, Goathland Avenue, Sandringham Avenue. The proposed temporary Order is required for UV lining works and will come into force on 28 October 2024 lasting until the 1 November 2024. Forest Hall
on Albany Avenue Lane.
There is no alternative route however access to be given to residents where possible. The proposed temporary Order is required to install a boundary box and will come into force on 21 October 2024 for a period not exceeding 5 days. Holystone
on Holystone Drive from outside number 36 to number 40.
An alternate route will be indicated by on site signage on Holystone Drive. The proposed temporary Order is required to rectify a defective reinstatement and will come into force on 24 October 2024 for a period not exceeding 5 days. North Shields
on Grey Street Lane from the junction with North King Street to the rear of number 14 Grey Street.
An alternate route is available via Grey Street Lane, Linskill Terrace, Grey Street, North King Street. The proposed temporary Order is required to install polyduct within the carriageway and will come into force on 25th September 2024 for a period not exceeding 14 days.

An alternate route is available via Rudyerd Street, Wellington Street West, Little Bedford Street. The proposed temporary Order is required for lining repairs to apparatus and will come into force on 27 October 2024 lasting until 3 November 2024. Working days will be on Sundays. on Gilsland Avenue from the junction with Ilford Road to the junction with Coldstream Gardens.
An alternate route is available via Coldstream Gardens, Murray Road, Ilford Road. With access being maintained for residents at each end of the street. The proposed temporary Order is required for a CCTV sewer survey and will come into force on 28th October 2024 for a period not exceeding 2 days. Whitley Bay
on Wilton Drive from the junction with Sandringham Drive to the junction with Arundel Drive.
An alternate route is available via Sandringham Drive, Hampton Drive, Arundel Drive. Access to the Beacon PH still available from the entrance on Wilton Drive. The proposed temporary Order is required to install censors into a manhole cover and will come into force on 13 October 2024 for a period not exceeding 1 day. Working hours will be from 09:30 - 15:30.
