TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on 

Tanners Bank from outside number 3 Tanners Bank to Union Road.  An alternate route is available via A193 Tynemouth Road, Hudson Street, Bird Street, Brewhouse Bank, Union Road. 

Preston Road from the Gunner Pub to the junction with Preston Park.  An alternate route is available via Preston Road, Argyle Terrace, North Road, Walton Avenue, Queen Alexandra Road. 

The proposed temporary Order is required for carriageway resurfacing.

The Order will come into force on 10 February 2025 lasting until 31 March 2025. Works to completed overnight during this period and only when signage is erected.
