 (On Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2025

Variation Orders 2025

 

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it has made Variation Orders under Sections 1, 2, 32, 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the orders, which will come into force on 16 June 2025, will be to vary the following orders as detailed below:

 

the North Tyneside (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading) (Consolidation) Order 2025, so that:

no waiting at any time restrictions be introduced on the following lengths of road:

 

The Broadway (Marden Quarry Access Road), Whitley Bay on its East side, from a point 45 metres north of its junction with Broadway Close, to a point 64 metres north of that junction.
Holmwood Avenue, Monkseaton on both sides, from its junction with Cauldwell Lane, to a point 10 metres north west of that junction

 

 no waiting at any time restrictions on the following roads be amended so that they apply to the following extents:

 

Broadway (Marden Quarry Access Road), Whitley Bay on its north west side from its junction with Marden Road South to a point 109 metres south west of that junction.

 

Cauldwell Lane, Monkseaton, on its north west side, from a point 16 metres south west of its junction with Holmwood Avenue, to a point 6 metres north east of that junction.

 

Walton Avenue, North Shields on its east side, from its junction with Balmoral Gardens to a point 14 metres north of that junction.

 

no waiting at any time restrictions on the following lengths of road be revoked:

 

a) Broadway, Whitley Bay West side between a point 10 metres south of its junction with Marden Quarry Access Road and that junction.

 

the North Tyneside (On Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2025 so that:

Limited Waiting without Parking Charges – Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm – 2 hours no return within 4 hours - be introduced on the following:

 

Broadway (Marden Quarry Access Road), Whitley Bay on its east side, from a point 17 metres south west of its junction with A193 Broadway, to a point 80 metres south of that junction.

 

2.  Limited Waiting without Parking Charges – All days 8am to 6pm – 2 hours no return within 4 hours - be introduced on the following:

 

a)  Church Bank, Wallsend on its south east side, from a point 33 metres north east of its junction with Northern Terrace, to a point 60 metres north east of that junction.

 

2.  Permit Holder Parking Places – Zones – All days, all hours, Zone CA1 be amended so that it applies to the following extent:

 

a)  Silverbirch Drive, Camperdown from a point 93 metres south and 8 metres east of its junction with Mylord Crescent in an easterly then northerly direction for its entirety.

 

Further details of the proposals may be examined in the documents available on the Council’s website www.northtyneside.gov.uk (Statutory Notices).  If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any of the provisions contained within it on the grounds that it is not made under the correct sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks from 29 May 2025, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
