North Tyneside Council's Hadrian Leisure Centre will be kick-starting the latest in its series of disability swimming sessions next month.
The sessions will be held every Saturday from 5pm to 6pm starting January 16.
Previously, sessions were held less frequently, with the switch set to allow participants to access the pool at a quieter time and make full use of the facilities available on a more consistent basis.
The Wallsend-based centre has a pool hoist to improve access from the changing facilities into the pool, with no need for lifting by a carer.
Hadrian also has specialist 'Changing Places' facilities, with larger changing rooms if required, providing fully accessible changing.
They are open to all ages at a cost of £2 for children and £3.80 for adults.
Participants must attend with a carer; up to two carers per swimmer can enter for free. For more information, contact Hadrian Leisure Centre on (0191) 643 2025.
