Equality and Diversity Policy Review

Equality includes and affects everyone. As an organisation we are committed to equality, to meeting our duties and to using the feedback we receive to help us work better for our residents.
Our Equality and Diversity Policy was originally agreed in 2017 and in line with good practice is reviewed every two years. We are therefore undertaking our second review and would welcome your feedback on the vision and commitments set out in our current policy. Simply click on the blue button below to take part.

SEND inclusion strategy consultation

We want the views of the parents and carers of children and young people who have additional needs. This information will help us plan our actions over the next 4 years. If you are a parent or carer of a young person with additional needs, you can share your thoughts with us by completing this short survey. You will have until Sunday 18th October to give us your opinions.

Many thanks for your support.

Public Spaces Protection Orders

North Tyneside has controls in place aimed at tackling problems in public places relating to irresponsible dog ownership and the irresponsible consumption of alcohol.  These controls are known as Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs).

The PSPOs currently in place were introduced on 20 October 2017.  When a PSPO is made it legally cannot last for more than 3 years unless formally extended.  The PSPOs made by the council will therefore expire at midnight on 19 October 2020 if they are not extended.

Proposed Pooled Fund relating to COVID-19

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the government has put in place arrangements to ensure that sufficient NHS hospital beds are available to deal with patients who have COVID-19 symptoms. The government is providing funds to enable the NHS to fully fund the cost of new or extended out-of-hospital health and social care support packages for people who are being discharged from hospital or who would otherwise be admitted to hospital.

Hear My Voice - Your experience accessing and receiving care from your GP practice.

Hear my Voice North Tyneside is a new project being launched by North Tyneside Clinical Commissioning Group (C.C.G.) which enables patients, residents, family members, carers and staff to describe their experience of receiving and delivering health care across North Tyneside.

Hear my Voice North Tyneside is one of the ways in which the C.C.G. can strengthen a culture of partnership and collaborative working by integrating the feedback they receive into shaping and delivering services for the future.

We are ambitious about the future for the residents and businesses of North Tyneside and we want your help to shape it.
